My name is Shelley Savoy, visual artist located in Eunice, Louisiana, the heart of Cajun country. Growing up in the Cajun prairies provided a beautiful palette of wildlife and Cajun and Creole heritage, which have become subjects in my artwork. I enjoy juxtaposing vibrant color schemes with mysterious subject matter, creating a somewhat ominous, yet beautiful result. Whether it’s capturing the soulful expressions of a fiddle player or the vibrant colors of a Louisiana prairie sunset, I strive to convey a sense of emotion in each piece. My work is a celebration of the unique landscapes, people, and stories that define my heritage.
